Our Teams
Mobile Community Support consists of two six-member teams, plus a leader for each.
One team leader has qualifications in clinical psychology and has worked in NGOs in the mental health sector for eight years.
The other has qualifications in social work and DAPAANZ Alcohol and Drug Practitioner registration and has worked in the drug and alcohol field.
Our people vary in ages and work backgrounds; some have completed a Certificate in Mental Health while others hold degrees in a range of disciplines including psychology, law, social sciences, health sciences and psychotherapy.
A few started their first role in mental health with WALSHtrust, while others have worked in other agencies in similar roles. A couple have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Two staff members are continuing their studies in mental health related topics, such as psychodrama.
Many of us have pets and treasure our precious family members whether they be cats, dogs, birds or chickens!
We actively look for new things going on in the community and all have different interests and hobbies in sports, art, leisure and recreation. We are a friendly, hard working bunch based upstairs at Hickory Avenue or HQ at Henderson.
